Patti's "on -camera" career was put on hold after marrying attorney Dale Gribow and giving birth to daughter, Gina. At this time in her life she worked as a journalist for an international magazine, and obtained her General Contractors license forming Gribow Construction, specializing in high end remodels in Los Angeles. Patti was selected as a member of the Outstanding Women of America and for three years worked as Director of Development for the Palm Valley School, a co-educational, non-denominational college preparatory school in Rancho Mirage, California, that her daughter attended.

In 2001, Gribow was called back into the studio when she was selected to perform as the on-camera host of a weekly half-hour television program, "At the McCallum" for the 2001-2002 seasons in promotion of The McCallum Theatre in the Greater Palm Springs area.
